Completion of the landcape studies on the Canal du Midi, carried out in Languedoc-Roussillon, was marked by a study trip on the barge Tramontane, on July 4-5, 2000. The first day was devoted to discovery of a characteristic length of the canal in the département of Aude, while the second was focused on a length in the département of Hérault. It was attended by several representatives of the two departments.
