Numerous Göta Canal archives, especially maps and drawings
made during construction of the canal in the early 19th
century, may now be consulted on the Web www.tema.liu.se/eu-gotakanal
This
VEV project (fiche 45) was completed by a team led by Prof
Reinhold Castensson, well known to actors of the Canal des
Deux Mers, since he carried out in February 1996 the ICOMOS
/ UNESCO appraisal of the application for the Canal du Midi
to be listed a world heritage site.
